3M Foil Tape 425 is an industry-standard, flame-resistant foil tape consisting of a dead-soft aluminum backing coated with a highly engineered acrylic adhesive.
Applications
Heat Shielding & Dissipation: Reflects radiant heat and acts as a thermally conductive barrier to protect temperature-sensitive parts.
Chemical Masking: Used as a durable maskant in aerospace paint stripping and chemical milling operations because it resists harsh chemicals and removes cleanly.
Moisture & Vapor Barrier: Features an extremely low moisture vapor transmission rate, making it ideal for appliance sealing (like refrigerators and freezers).
General MRO: Excellent for patching and repairing tears on aircraft, truck trailers, and general utility items.
