3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Epoxy Adhesive DP100 Plus Clear is a fast-setting, flexible, two-part structural epoxy adhesive with a 1:1 mix ratio. It combines high shear strength with exceptional peel resistance, staying transparent and slightly flexible after curing.
Applications
Bonding Dissimilar Substrates: Excellent for joining metals, ceramics, glass, wood, and many plastics.
Electronics & Optics: Used where invisible bond lines, gap filling, or non-yellowing transparency is required.
General Industrial/Signage: Ideal for applications subjected to vibration, impact, or thermal expansion/contraction.
Machined Parts: Provides durable bonds for attachments that require subsequent machining, sanding, or polishing.
Properties
Uncured & Mixed Physical Properties
Color: Clear and transparent (even when cured in larger masses).
Viscosity: Medium-viscous liquid that is easy to dispense.
Mix Ratio: 1:1 by volume or weight.
Worklife: 3 to 4 minutes at room temperature (23°C).
Handling Strength: Achieved in roughly 20 minutes at 23°C.
Cured Physical Properties:
Hardness: 65–70 Shore D.
Elongation: 75%.
Tensile Strength: Approx. 1850 psi.
Overlap Shear Strength: ~1100 psi after 24 hours (reaching up to 2800 - 3400 psi fully cured on etched aluminum).
Certifications: Recognized as meeting UL 94 HB standard.
