3M™ Fire Barrier Sealant FD 150+
3M™ Fire Barrier Sealant FD 150+ is a ready-to-use, water-based, elastomeric latex sealant. Designed to prevent the spread of fire, smoke, and toxic gases, it expands slightly when heated and provides up to 4 hours of fire protection in tested, listed through-penetration and construction joint systems.
Application
Construction Joints: Both dynamic and static joints in fire-rated floors and walls.
Pipe Penetrations: Metal, insulated, and closed plastic pipes (such as small-diameter PVC).
Cable Penetrations: Single or grouped cables and cable trays.
Blank Openings: Gaps left in fire-rated walls and floor slabs.
Properties
Base Material: Acrylic latex
Color Options: Red, blue, and limestone
Dry Time: Dries to the touch in 30 to 60 minutes; fully cures in 72 hours.
Paintability: Can be painted after 72 hours
Acoustic Barrier: Minimizes noise transfer.
Service Temperature: -28°C to 82°C
