Fire Barrier Mortar
It is a lightweight gypsum-based and endothermic firestop that is ready for mixing with potable water. 3M™ Fire Barrier Mortar will firestop penetrations passing through fire-rated floor or wall assemblies and other fire-rated interior building con-struction.
Application
Mechanical and Electrical Penetrations: Seals gaps around pipes, cables, and cable trays passing through fire-rated assemblies.
Blank Openings: Fills unused or temporary large openings in fire-resistance-rated floors and walls.
Annular Spaces: Closes large ring-shaped gaps around utility conduits.
Floor and Vertical Assemblies: Can be mixed as a self-leveling liquid for horizontal floors or a trowelable, no-sag paste for vertical walls.
Properties

Fire Stop: Tested for up to 3 hours.
Absorbs heat from penetrants
Strong Adhesion: Bonds well to concrete, metals, wood, plastics, and cable jacketing.
Other Traits: Paintable after priming.
